Seeding

Currently, Entry4Sports has two methods for seeding

Open Format

This is where the the event is seeded on performance across all heats.

If the competition is setup for slowest first then. The slowest athletes are in heat 1 with the fastest athletes in the last heat. Each heat is currently by default, seeded in arrow head format.
It is possible to amended athlete lanes by using the track card, found here >>.

Heat Format

This method is used where you have heats that allow athletes to qualify for a further heat / final. If open seeding format was used, the last heat would be or should be the final as that is where the fastest athletes are. This would make a final the same as the last heat, which is not what is required.
With a heat format, the fastest athlete is placed in heat one, second fastest in heat two and so on, thereby spreading the abilities across all the heats.
Again, currently each heat is still seeded on arrow head format.
It is possible to amended athlete lanes by using the track card, found here >>.

Seed by Age

This creates heats based on an athletes age group so all the Under 13’s are grouped together, then all the Under 15’s e.t.c
Each age group will be seeded in their own heat(s)

Seed By Gender

This creates heats based on an athletes gender so all the females are grouped together, then all the males e.t.c
Each gender will be seeded in their own heat(s)
